Zone is an object that acts as a selector of Ads Places.
What is it for? Each site can be divided into several virtual zones. For example, a site about the new books can be divided into the conditional zones for children, adolescents, adults and older readers. For each category of visitors is preferred to show a corresponding set of ads. The object Place allows you to solve this problem, but its solution is necessary to target each ad. Object Zone allows to solve this problem based on the selective choice of a set of ads (Place) using defined rules.
Name – the name of Zone object.
Description – the description of Zone object. This description is not used anywhere and is added solely for the convenience of managing advertisements.
Zone Rules
The set of rules defines which object Place should be active (should be selected) and shown on the current page of site. Object Zone analyzes current page properties and tries to find appropriate rule. If rule is found, Zone object selects Place object defined in this rule. If rule is not found, default object Place will be selected. If default object Place is set to None, will be shown nothing.
Rules
This is the set of rules for the non singular pages (archives, 404, search results, etc.).
Default Place – This Place will be shown if won’t be found any rule for the current page.
Set of Rules
To add rules into the set of rules click “+” toolbar button, in the opened dialog select needed rules from the rules list and click Select button. Multiple rows selection is allowed.
Toolbar Buttons
– Edit selected rule (also you can double-click on rule row in the data grid to edit it). You can edit only Place of rule.
– Save changes.
– Cancel changes.
– Delete selected rule.
– Refresh grid data.
– Add rules (see above).
Singular Page Rules
This is the set of rules for the singular pages.
Inasmuch as singular pages unlike nonsingular pages contain a set of properties, you need to define the priority of selection for each rule. In that case, if there are multiple matching rules (for different properties) will be selected rule with the highest priority. Set 1 value for highest priority.
Default Place – This Place will be shown if won’t be found any rule for the current page.
